Mediapoint seeks industry talent with company expansion

Mediapoint is entering a new phase of growth, and to support its company expansion is seeking five individuals to join its print and finishing teams.

Mediapoint sales manager Jamie Xuereb told Sprinter that the move comes as the business adapts to market changes and aims to support its customer base.

“The current market has been challenging for many of the resellers we support. The overall sentiment remains quite negative, and we’ve seen some companies needing to downsize or broaden their product offerings to drive additional revenue from their existing customer base,” he said.

“This has aligned well with our recent investments in our large format department (Durst P5 350 HS D4) and label department (Durst Tau), which has increased our capacity by over 300 per cent. These investments have enabled us to assist our resell partners in navigating these difficult times.”

Xuereb mentioned that as Mediapoint continues to adapt and find new opportunities and media types for its resellers, it has noticed a positive impact on their bottom line, particularly with products like board, banner, and other large format media that they previously struggled to secure.

“To maintain our efficiency and ensure that we deliver on our promises, we’ve had to improve our systems and processes. As a result, we’re seeking five new team members to join us – a significant step for our operation – but one that we believe is necessary to uphold our reputation and continue supporting the industry during these challenging times,” he said.

“We recognise that the current job market is tough. Historically, we’ve been successful in bringing new talent into the print industry. However, in this next phase, our focus is on retaining experienced professionals within the industry rather than seeing them move elsewhere.

“We’ve heard from our resell partners that they have valuable team members looking for a stable and supportive environment within the industry. We’re reaching out to those individuals, encouraging them to consider joining our team.”
