Melbourne printers get manroland debt-free story

Held at the prestigious waterfront Pier 3 restaurant on a sparkling Melbourne evening, the event attracted a swag of Victoria’s commercial web, newspaper, packaging and sheetfed printers.

In his presentation Moser highlighted the confidence that Allianz showed in manroland and in the entire print industry, by injecting the cash. He says, “Printers around the world, and in Australia can be assured that manroland is in a very strong and stable position”. Allianz bought 65 per cent of manroland from the MAN Group in 2006.

Moser also highlighted manroland’s major investment in print this year, manifest in the establishment of new direct subsidiaries around the world, following the severing of links with long time distributor MAN Ferrostaal. According to Moser this has resulted in some 300 new staff being taken on by manroland.

Also at the dinner event manroland Australasia’s managing director Steve Dunwell highlighted the commitment the company is making to servicing its customers, with new programmes and plans already in place to ensure its customers are optimising the potential of their presses.
