Japanese developer Mimaki will be adding three new wide format products to its arsenal; the UCJV300-160/UCJV150-160 inkjet printer, 3DUJ-553 3D UV curable inkjet system, and LA-160W/LA-170W genuine warm laminator.
Mimaki says the UCJV300-160/UCJV150-160 is for sign and graphics, and is a versatile inkjet printer having a combined function of both printing and cutting mounted with UV-curable ink. The press is a roll to roll type UV inkjet printer, in is developed in pursuit of improvement of work efficiency, operability and consideration to the environment.
This press is equipped with the function of the 4 layers print: colour, black, white and colour is available which presents the combined solution of the 4 layers print and the inside lighting showing the day and night printing, which is an image-change between daytime and night time.
Mimaki says the CJV300-160/UCJV150-160 is easy and quick to proceed to a next process of laminating or sign applying after printing. Even an order of short delivery time will be not missed thanks to its quick producing ability. Moreover, not only PVC and tarpaulin also fabric, paper, PET film will be covered to print, it can also produce banner flags and point of purchase making.

The 3DUJ-553 UV is a 3D full-colouring printer by UV LED curable inkjet system, enabling the full colour modelling of over 10 million colours. Mimaki says its rich colour expression of the 3DUJ-553 is better suited to create a final product such as real object sign or building model, of which an extra colouring has been difficult after the completion of modelling. Applying UV curable ink curing by UV light irradiation, the 3DUJ-553 enables 22 μm of minimum layer pitch for the high reproducibility of model detailing, to lead the creation of exquisite 3D product with its elaborate finishing.
Mimaki says the adaptation of water soluble support material ink, damages of very sensitive design object will not occur at the removal of support material. Finally the LA-160W/LA-170W is a warm laminator with a maximum laminating speed 7,500mm/min and usable for UV print laminating. Mimaki says, simultaneously, Mimaki genuine laminating film, Mimaki Vision Laminate 310-137 Gloss (MV Laminate 310) is also going to sell with an advantage to reduce the silvering while laminating to UV print.
The LA-160W/LA-170W includes the warm function which reduces the silvering influence of UV print lamination, it is equipped with the warm function, allowing it to heat up to maximum of 60 degrees. The media surface printed by UV ink is likely to have an evenness, but laminating while heating can improve the adhesion of laminating to reduce generation of silvering.
All three will be available in November.
