Minuteman Press Abbotsford has purchased the first Dumor Finishing Machine supplied by Paper Handling Equipment (PHE).

The successful Minuteman franchise has been in operation for the past 15 years, it installed the Dumor as a new addition for the business. 

Owner Kylie Archer says the machine’s ability to sheet cut, perforate and crease all in one was enough to convince her.

“The reason we purchased the Dumor was because it saves time. Normally we would need to perforate a job then take it to guillotine after, but this machine does it all in one with only one setup needed,” Archer explains.

“You are saving time because you can move onto another job while the machine is working away. The other day I was using it to cut and crease 500 sheets and at the same time I was doing a laminating job. 

She continues, “You can walk away from the machine without really needing to keep an eye on it.”

Archer admits she did consider other models, but says the service offered by PHE swayed her decision to choose them.

“We had a good three to four hours of training with Craig from PHE where he showed us all the machine’s specifications, parts and how to use it,” she says.

“If any issues arise, PHE are quite happy to come out to the business to fix it or talk me through solving the problem over the phone.”

Minuteman Abbotsford are currently using the machine for a range of paper sizes from business cards to SRA3 and A4, since July they have processed just under 30,000 sheets using the Dumor.

PHE’s Craig Ryan adds, “The new range of PHE Dumor Finishing Machines are the best on the market. Their quality and consistency brings to the market a new competitor with prices that are making the competition feel very uncomfortable.”
