Mobile printing app hits Aussie shores

Mobile printing application Printicular – which allows customers to print photos from their mobile or tablet devices and get them delivered straight to their door – is making its way to Australia.

Its Kiwi developer MEA has just scored a deal with Android Pay to allow the app to use the payment method, currently used by Australian companies such as Jetstar, Menulog and ANZ in their apps.

Printicular also offers canvas printing and poster printing via its canvasprint and posterprint mobile applications.

Users of the apps have the option to get their prints home delivered or pick them up from selected retailers.

A company description on its website says, “We provide turnkey solutions for retailers to allow retail stores to accept orders from mobile apps. This includes photo printing as well as document printing.”

Printicular co-founder Bruce Seymour says the addition of Android Pay will give Printicular customers an added level of convenience and security to their photo purchases.

Seymour also says the app has filled a decade long void in technology where people could not easily print their photos straight from their phone.

The company has offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and the United States.
