
Tony Bertrand, marketing and business development manager, BJ Ball told Australian Printer, “BJ Ball is a committed member of the Australian Design community and therefore have a responsibility to provide inspiration through the promotion of international design events such as ‘The Mohawk Show by BJ Ball’.
Darrin Marshall, business development manager for award winning digital printer Carbon8 told Australian Printer, “We have work done on BJ Ball stock, we have work on display here that we printed and designed this morning using the Silk stock which is our house stock which prints beautifully on the HP Indigo and we get great results from it.”
Marshall says, “A majority of the work we have here on display is done using BJ Ball Mohawk Superfine stock, and we have some nice work from various designers and students. Superfine White prints so well and you get great results from it, and is one of our go to stocks. We use it to pitch for books and awards submissions and work such as that.”
David Konnecke, account manager, Avon Graphics told Australian Printer, “We are in the embellishment business and we are showing some of the creative things we can do with beautiful BJ Ball papers. BJ Ball has been terrific, they offered us to come out here and have been a good supplier. We use BJ Ball papers every day, and events like this are great.”
Bertrand says, “The Mohawk Show by BJ Ball has a long history with this its 12 show in 13 years. It is a chance for creatives to come together celebrate everything that is good about graphic design and view what leading designers from around the world are producing.”
He says, “The show also provides creatives with a chance to catch up with colleagues discuss changes in the industry and make new contacts.”
“The inclusion this year of Mohawk Panoramic product “the end of the gutter” was a hit with those who attended as was the embellishing work done but Avon Graphics on the magnificent range of Mohawk papers,” concludes Bertrand.
Scott Chong, marketing promotions manager, BJ Ball told Australian Printer, “We enjoy hosing events like this and it satisfying to see the kind of creative work on display using our papers.”
