The recent annual Australian Sign and Graphics Association (ASGA) Queensland Golf Day gathered a record attendance this year, with 96 players joining the peak body for networking and fine dining at the Brookwater Golf Club in Brisbane.
With 96 players, this year’s event marked the largest attendance ever recorded at this popular annual event.

After an early start at 8 a.m. and a quick breakfast, players enjoyed a round of Ambrose golf with several prizes and challenges before gathering back at the clubhouse for a BBQ Buffet lunch and prize presentations.
This year, Hexis Team 1 was named the winning team, comprising of James Melville of Gold Coast Signs & Plastics; Paul Shannon of Signmakers; Ian Parsonson of Hexis Australia and Brendan Dawson of Face It Graphics.
Melville, Dawson and Pasronson were back on the golf course to defend their 2022 title, with Shannon stepping in to bring his talent to the team this year for the first time.
Hexis was the principal sponsor of the day, while Amari Visual Solutions provided the popular drinks cart around the course. Graphic Art Mart sponsored the Survivor Ball and NTP trophies, while Orafol put on drinks for lunch and provided some of the day’s prizes.
Novelty Hole sponsors included ARC Metal Fabrication, Australian Skills & Management Institute, Bounce LED, CV Media & Signage, Colourgrafix, HVG Graphics Media, Letter Tech, Mulford Plastics Australia, PROvinyl, Rowmark Australia, SMIB, Spicers, SAled, Signarama and Visual Connections.
ASGA president Mick Harrold said, “It’s always fantastic to see the industry come together for these events, which not only provide important time away from the day-to-day of business, but also give us important networking opportunities which strengthen our industry connections.
“We thank everyone who attended for a great day of competition and fun, and especially the sponsors who make days like this possible.”
