New Isimat printing on 160 tubes a minute

Isimat says the TD 6160 was designed to meet the demand from tube manufacturers for a multi-colour, high speed machine with highly accurate colour to colour registration. The TD 6160 prints in 2-up operation; it can have up to seven printing stations and its production speed is up to 160 tubes per minute. The TD 6160 can handle tubes with an outer diameter in the range 13 – 60 mm, and a length between 50 and 200 mm. The ISI-Star UV drying system is fitted as standard; new innovative expanding mandrels are an option.

Peter Detzner, managing director of Isimat says, “We know that the colour to colour registration of our 1-up tube printing machine, the TS 6090, is accurate to within ± 0.1 mm. We expected the 2-up machine to come close to this accuracy. The printing results exceeded our expectations. The TD 6160 equals the colour to colour registration accuracy of the TS 6090. We printed two identical images, but each with a different colour, one on top of the other, and we needed a strong magnifying glass to verify that the first image had been printed.”
