Océ outlines that the Arizona 550 GT extends the Arizona range adding to the 250, the 350 GT and the 350 XT. The new press also doubles the speed of the existing models, it can produce more than 40 square meters of high quality printing per hour, or more than 100 full-size boards per eight-hour shift, according to the manufacturer.
Dale Hawkins, business group manager for display graphics and imaging supplies at Océ-Australia says the announcement of the new printer has drawn unprecedented enquiries from Océ’s Australian customer base resulting in a number of advance sales.
He says, “The Océ Arizona range has been very popular in the Australian marketplace and the news that there is an even faster model about to be launched is big news in the display graphics sector.”
Hawkins continues, “In a market where sales of printing equipment and supplies by competitors dropped more than 30 per cent in 2009, Océ’s business actually grew internationally, largely attributable to the popularity of the Océ Arizona series.”
Océ also outlines that the printer’s image quality is suitable for closely-viewed point-of-purchase signage as well as printing on transparent media for use as illuminated backlit signs.
The printer uses a vacuum system to hold media stationary on a flat surface, ensuring accurate registration even on multiple imaging passes and employs the same Océ VariaDot imaging technology used in other printers in the Arizona range, according to Océ.
