The company continues, the 190cm wide CS6407 printer and the 264cm wide CS6410, can both be used in four or eight-colour mode.
The eight 508-nozzle print heads can be configured in two ways: 2 x 4 mode, with four colours and two heads per colour for maximum print speed, or 1 x 8 mode, with eight colours and one head per colour for superior print quality.
The four-colour mode reaches print speeds up to 100sqm per hour. With the eight-colour mode users can still print at speeds of up to 50sqm per hour.
Neil Westhof, marketing manager wide format at Océ says, “The four-color mode ensures excellent image density and is ideal for outdoor banner applications. The eight-color mode adds light gray, gray, light magenta and light cyan ink for smooth transitions and exceptional overall image reproduction.
He continues, “The gray and light gray inks make it possible to print real gradations, light shadows and metallic textures. We expect them to be one of the main drawcards at the Océ stand during the Sydney Visual Impact Image Expo.”
