New vision for Printing Industries NSW

Fuller took up his role this week in the NSW Office at Auburn. He has spent the past 25 years working for the building industry, including 12 years as the Newcastle MBA’s CEO.

Printing Industries CEO Philip Andersen says Fuller brings with him extensive association experience and a new range of skills that would be beneficial to NSW members and to Printing Industries generally.

“There are many parallels between the two associations and Robert’s extensive experience in government relations, lobbying, public relations, strategic management, planning, industrial relations and the environment will be well placed with us,” Andersen says.

Fuller has a strong interest in change management and industry training, having established the largest building industry Group Apprenticeship Scheme in the Hunter. He was also instrumental in establishing the first Building Degree course at Newcastle University.

Says Fuller said, “The opportunities for advancing Printing Industries NSW are significant and represent a period of revitalised growth for the Association.”

While MBA CEO he made submissions, appeared before two Royal Commissions into the building industry, and played an important role in its restructure. He was also involved in the HIH Royal Commission and the Grellman Inquiry into Home Warranty Insurance (NSW).

Fuller was part of the national Executive Director’s management team for Master Builders Australia (Canberra). In addition to the Group Apprenticeship Scheme, he established an environmental department, a legal practice, founded the Excellence in Building Awards now in its tenth year, and managed the expansion of the Building Display Centre and HomeShow.
