Newspaper advertising awards now seeking entries

The awards are designed to recognise excellence in display advertising, campaigns, online and mobile ads, features and supplements with winners to be presented at the awards dinner on April 23 in Sydney.

Judges will reward outstanding creative execution that commands attention and motivates the audience or prospect. The newspaper advertisement or campaign should demonstrate components including:

  • Appropriate targeting of the prospect/audience
  • A call to action
  • Measurement of response gained
  • Sharp and relevant illustration
  • Effective headline
  • Clean layout; and Effective use of the medium (print/online/mobile)

PANPA also says that this year, all entries must be submitted electronically, which will enable organisers to digitise every entry and create an online book of all entries.

Awards are made in three circulation categories including 0-25,000; 25,001-90,00; 90,000+ and Open.

The association also outlines wining an award will enable a company to differentiate themselves in the marketplace, prove their commitment to clients and enhance their credibility and integrity.

2.) Best Single Online Advertisement for a Client

3.) Best Single Mobile Platform Advertisement for a Client (Open)

Campaigns

4.) Best Print Campaign for a Client

5.) Best Online Campaign for a Client

6.) Best Integrated Media Campaign for a Client

Dedicated Environments

7.) Best Advertising Feature or Supplement

Promotion / Trade Advertising

8.) Best Advertisement Promoting Print

9.) Best Advertisement Promoting Online

Power of Newspapers

10.) Best Tactical Use of Newspapers

11.) Best Integrated, Tactical Use of

Newspapers / Online Executive Excellence (all Open)

12.) Advertising Manager of the Year

13.) Display Advertising Executive of the Year

14.) Online Advertising Executive of the Year

15.) Classifieds Sales Executive of the Year

16.) Excellence in Advertising Bundling: Print / Digital

17.) Creative Services Professional of the Year
