Nulab installs world’s fastest colour inkjet

Victorian diversified print group Nulab Group is installing a Memjet-based DocuWide C842 wide format printer from Fuji Xerox at its Braeside plant, saying it is the fastest colour inkjet on the market.

The unit prints at speeds of up to 152.4mm per second on media up to 1,067mm wide, consistent on all paper types including plain papers (premium paper), coated papers, glossy papers and tracing papers.

Nulab plans to pitch the printer’s work to clients that need high quality and detail on short turnarounds.

The company says the money it saves on production costs and through increased productivity will be passed on to its customers.

Nulab says it bought the C842 because, ‘The most critical element of any business success is speed and quality so we picked this machine as it has applied these concepts and is capable of introducing an impressive colour output at all times’.

According to Nulab it sharply reproduces diagonal lines, curved lines, or fine straight lines necessary for drawings, and offers accurate images to various needs such as poster photographs, flyers, promotional items with a fine texture required, or illustrated. It is also suitable for architects drawings and retail point of sale.”

The C842 is suitable for a variety of applications including backlit advertising displays and colour posters on coated papers.
