Omnigraphics & MMT Print has created an internal customised software solution across its business to improve operational efficiency.
Group director Dave Walton is working with one of the founders of the company, Richard Fitt, who moved on and launched his own business in software development.
“Richard left our business 11 years ago but has since founded Flintlock, his new venture that specialises in developing customised software packages based on the Claris platform. Over the years, we have continued to update our software platform, which is a complete end-to-end system for our business,” Walton said.
“This software system offers API integration, linking our freight management capabilities, accounting software, and approval system. It is also a quote engine and a stock resource centre that controls everything that comes in and out of the business.
“It also carries across to the quote side of our business to maintain stock levels to show what is available for our sales reps to sell and has a fully integrated production capability connected to every printer and fabricator capturing all costs including electricity, footprint, and wear and tear, and provides all quoting advice.
“We went live with the latest version of the software in April and have been undertaking Beta testing – that is now complete. It is now our focus to roll this out across our entire business and implement the software across the MMT side of our company.
“Our Climate One software platform has also been built by Richard and works directly with our software.”
