
The Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has released the full year 2021 results for the Out of Home sector, revealing an increase in net media revenue from 2020.
It announced a total increase of 24 per cent on net media revenue in 2021 to $812.7 million,
up from $655.2 million in 2020.
Digital Out of Home (DOOH) revenue fuelled growth, with revenue in this segment accounting for 58.8 per cent of total net media revenue year-to-date, an increase over the recorded 55.2 per cent for the same period last year.
All category figures saw an increase, showing signs of recovery from the effects of COVID-19.
Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) saw revenues of $360.4 million, up from $273.6 million.
Other roadside including street furniture, bus/tram externals and small format generated $190.8 million, up from $154.2 million last year.
Transport, including airports, raised $48 million, up from $62.4 million in 2020.
Lastly, the retail and lifestyle category brought in $213.4 million, an increase from $165 million in the year before.
