Colorific supplies products for most leading wide-format brands, including Roland DG, HP, Mimaki, Océ and Mutoh, and claims users can cut their ink bills in half.
The local deal follows a similar tie-up in the UK, where Paperlinx subsidiary Robert Horne Group has also taken on the agency for Colorific. In Australia, iMedia’s product range includes wide-format hardware from Epson, EFI and Canon.
Shaun Holdom, business manager for Colorific, said the company was “the fastest-growing alternative ink brand in the UK and we want to replicate this success across the globe”.
“All our inks are fully tested and proven in the field and have a track record of reliable and trouble-free performance.
“Our business case is compelling. Once customers have switched to our inks, they are sticking with them because they profit from the significant savings that can be made – up to 50% in some cases – without compromising the quality of output,” added Holdom.
The deal was signed at the Visual Impact Image Expo at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, where both companies exhibited.
Chris Lewis-Williams, group manager at iMedia, said: “Our customers are always looking for ways to reduce their costs and improve profits and switching to high quality alternative inks is a great way of doing so.”
