Peacock Bros. purchases O.J. Holdings to broaden portfolio

Australian label print company Peacock Bros. has acquired O.J. Holdings to broaden its portfolio into the printing, labelling and handheld computing solutions spaces.

O.J. Holdings was established in Australia in 1987. The company distributes a range of barcode scanners, mobile computers, thermal printers, labels, signage, and safety and packing products, along with specialising in the supply of in-house sign and label making systems.

In addition to developing its own technologies like ‘O.J. Pro’ – a sign making and printing solution – O.J. Holdings also distributes a range of leading handheld computing technologies from brands like Zebra Technologies, Honeywell, TSC, Point Mobile, and CipherLab Mobile Computers.

Operating from its head office and manufacturing plant in Keysborough, Victoria, and with sales and service coverage in both NSW and Queensland, O.J. Holdings services customers across a broad range of industries including freight and logistics, food and beverage, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.

Major companies that work with O.J. Holdings include Baby Bunting, Dulux, Toyota, Ford, DHL, BHP, Hastings Deering, CUB, Colgate-Palmolive, General Mills, and Nestle.

Peacock Bros. group managing director Ryan McGrath said the new acquisition further strengthens the group’s range of products and solutions within the thermal label, printer, and packaging marketplace.

“We are thrilled to welcome the O.J. Holdings team to the Peacock Group. As leaders in barcode scanning, mobile computing, labelling and signage systems, we look forward to having their in-house expertise complement our current capabilities,” he said.

O.J. Holdings general manager Travis McConchie said he is excited to be joining forces with Peacock Bros.

“Our companies share a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that help our customers to optimise their operations and enhance the safety of their worksites. Together, we will be able to provide an even broader range of solutions that can be customised to meet the specific needs of businesses across Australia,” McConchie said.

Peacock Bros. is on a journey of growth through acquisition. The company acquired AMR Hewitts in June last year, with McGrath giving listeners more insight into the company’s plans in a ProPack.pro podcast.
