Perfectly Bound shuts its doors

Trade finishing business Perfectly Bound has locked its doors and shut down its communications.

The finishing business’s website is suspended, its phones are ringing out, and its company name following a Google search is listed as ‘permanently closed’.

An industry insider tells ProPrint the closure was planned and all of its kit has been sold off. Perfectly Bound’s Silverwater warehouse in Sydney has been emptied and is now occupied by another company.

ProPrint contacted Perfectly Bound director Michael Smith for comment however he was unavailable.

Perfectly Bound took over troubled laminating company TLC Print Finishing in 2014, rescuing the business from debts topping $175,000 after it was burnt by collapsed firm Focus Press. It moved into TLC’s Silverwater location from Smithfield soon after.

Last year Perfectly Bound was the victim of arson after its factory was broken into and set alight. The business was then forced to shut down for close to a month following repairs.

More to come.
