PMP says, “No payment has been made to Mr Evans in relation to the cessation of his employment and this claim will be defended by the company.”
The Company has retained Blake Dawson to represent it in this matter.
Evans left the company in a sudden departure in January, just four months after signing a new four year contract, with the PMP stating the move was by mutual agreement. Evans was earning a $1m annual salary at PMP.
While the company has not commented on reasons for the January departure, Australian Printer published previously that tensions between Evans and chairman Graham Reaney had been rising, with the situations at ACP and Coles causing concern.
Richard Allely, PMP’s chief financial officer, is currently acting CEO of the print giant.
