PMP renews lucrative ACP contract

In a statement to the ASX on Friday, Richard Allely, CEO of PMP said, “This agreement is the result of the strong working relationship developed between ACP and PMP, and printing of these publications over the term will assist in the [PMP] Print Transformation programme currently being developed.”

PMP has maintained the lucrative ACP contract since the publisher scraped plans to build its own $150m print and distribution centre in April 2010.

At the time Allely applauded the decision, telling Australian Printer the abandonment of the plan was good news for PMP and the print industry in general.

He said, “Being a printer we would never have encouraged more capacity into a market which already has enough capacity for the work available. PMP stands to gain more than anyone else from this decision.”
