The Lanfranchi PET bottle unscrambler is supplied by local agent HBM, and will be used for juice, water and carbonated soft drinks.

The machine is capable of unscrambling and orienting light weight PET bottles from 185ml to 2.5litre range. In this instance P&N will be handling 250ml and 1.5litre bottles.

The system uses ‘No Scuffing Technology’ (NST) which is based on a ‘low relative speed’ design, ensuring that the bottles do not suffer from damage during the unscrambling process. The 250ml oblong bottles in this instance are all positively orientated on exiting the machine, in order to be directly fed to the filler at what HBN says is better than 99 per cent efficiency.

Change over time for bottles of a similar configuration is typically three minutes using the Lanfranchi patented fully automated system, while the company says for bottles of a dissimilar shape the time is approximately 15 minutes.
