Adriano Gut, sales and marketing manager, Positive Camtec told Australian Printer, “We are hosting this Open Day so that print business owners and managers are aware of the full range of products we have on offer and what they can do. We want to show what we can do. Many people know us for one aspect of our range of solutions, today is a great chance to highlight everything, and to prime printers for PacPrint.”
Demonstrations were run on the swissQprint range of UV flatbed printers, Roland DG printers and cutters. Positive Camtec also showed its Tekwin and Epson printers.
Gut says, “We are happy to say that we are achieving above average sales of the swissQprint range of printers. So far we have sold 12 of them across Australia. We offer full support and services to our customers and spare parts are available when needed.”
Among the printers present Brad Calvert, director, Graphics Plus Printing told Australian Printer, “It is a great thing what Positive Camtec is doing as not many people have Open Days, so it is good to see how the equipment works. The Nyala looks like an easy to use machine and it seems fast, you could do a lot of great things with it.”
The managing director of Positive Camtec Philip Trumble presented the swissQprint Nyala, showcasing its major features which include large print bed measuring 3.2m by 1.6m and its nine colour channels processing material at a rate of up to 200 sqm/h. Truble ran through an array of jobs at lightening fast speed.
The company has sold swissQprint printers to wide format printers, commercial printers, trade houses and bookbinders.
Another printer present Peter Bonaccordo, owner of Signwave Parramatta says, “I need to make the next step, and the swissQprint looks like a powerful printer, the throughput is tremendous, but I’m not sure it is the right time for us yet.”
