Positive response to Print05

Busy aisles, well-attended seminars, full pavilions and highly qualified and well-informed participants were the hallmarks of the event, in which both exhibitor and visitor numbers were up significantly on the last Print show.

Held from September 9 – 15, 954 exhibitors mounted displays over 750,000 square feet in the world’s largest show for commercial, package printing and converting.

International visitors made up 11 per cent of the total, coming from 99 different nations. Tours were offered in various languages and a series of presentations and networking events dedicated to specific global regions attracted many.

Seminar attendance broke a record with more than 2260 people registering to participate in one or more of over 80 educational sessions offered at the show.

Exhibitors hailed the show as “fantastic,” “phenomenal” and “tremendously successful.”

Regis Delmontagne, president of GASC, the show’s producer, says the show exceeded expectations.

“The positive response to our initiative to significantly enter the package printing sector and the success of those exhibitors serving that sector, the increase in international attendance and the continued success of the educational programme all contributed to a very successful event overall for everyone involved,” says Delmontagne.

The next Print show will be held in 2009. Next year, the annual Graph Expo and Converting Expo will be held on October 15-18 in Chicago.
