Pozitive puts swissQprint Nyala on display at Visual Impact

Pozitive has taken to Visual Impact Sydney to show off swissQprint’s latest Nyala technology.

Pozitive managing director Phil Trumble said the 3.2m by 2m flatbed printer is one of the most versatile machines in the market.

“It has won best printer in its class in Europe for the last eight years running. The reason is because not only can you print flat sheets, you can also print flat cut sheets using our pin system, with multiple lay positions,” he said.

“You can also do up to 3m wide roll-to-roll printing as well using this machine. So, in one machine, we can combine a whole range of different jobs and it really is one printer to print all kinds of materials.”

The swissQprint Nyala press delivers on many benefits with its cutting-edge print head technology and the high-precision droplet placement perfected by swissQprint. For example, the Nyala 4 achieves a maximum resolution of 1,350dpi, with an output of up to 206 m2/h.

Trumble also said the swissQprint Nyala has been re-certified for energy efficiency, adding that it is the only manufacturer of large format UV printers to do so.

Representatives of Fogra, the Research Institute for Media Technologies, measured and certified the power consumption of the swissQprint Nyala, which showed ‘top in class’ energy efficiency, meaning that its power needs are very low in relation to performance, which saves costs and resources.
