While Cyber was showcasing its entire portfolio of offerings, the Presstek 52DI digital offset press garnered a great deal of attention and Cyber will be following up with attendees in the coming weeks to better determine how a Presstek 52DI can enhance each of their businesses, according to Presstek.

Tim Sawyer, Presstek’s director of sales for the Asia Pacific Region says both the number of attendees and the geographic diversity exceeded expectations.

He says, “This open house marked our first major collaboration with Cyber as we work together to bring the 52DI to Cyber’s large and growing customer base and it was an absolute success. We look forward to assisting with the follow-up activities and working with Cyber to schedule further open houses in the region.”

Cyber is headquartered in Singapore and also distributes the Presstek 52DI in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Australia. The Presstek/Cyber distribution partnership was announced in mid-October 2009.

Presstek also outlines its DI digital offset presses offer high quality color printing in runs from 500 to 20,000. Capable of printing on a broad range of substrates from 0.06mm to 0.5mm thick, the DI supports up to 300lpi (120 l/cm) and FM screening without incurring additional time or expense.

The Presstek 52DI, a 52cm landscape format press, has a maximum sheet size of 520 x 375mm and produces up to 20,000 letter-size pages per hour. Presstek DI presses can also be configured to support UV printing and aqueous coating.
