Print veteran dies suddenly in his sleep

Queensland printers are mourning the loss of 40-year print veteran Peter Daw, who died suddenly in his sleep aged in his early 60s.

Daw was a long-term team member of Brisbane company Print Approach, and before that had worked at Sydney firm John Sands Printing for many years.

Print Approach managing director Tom Eckersley says the company was shocked by Daw’s sudden death.

“Peter had a wealth of industry knowledge and was one of print’s true gentlemen. He will be very much missed by all those he worked with,” he says.

A small intimate funeral gathering will be held on the Sunshine Coast later this week. Daw is survived by his wife Jane and children Sarah and Alexander.
