Printers get first glimpse of Konica Minolta House

Australian Printer was invited to the preliminary opening at the 540sqm showroom, known as the Konica Minolta House, which will be officially opened next month.

Attendees to the event were able to view the company’s full digital press range including the Kodak NexPress, which is being distributed by Konica throughout Australia, and the new bizhub PRO1200 that is marked for full release in October.

David Procter, national manager of production printing at Konica Minolta says the showroom not only increases Konica Minolta’s ability to demonstrate equipment and provide second level support to customers, but also gives the company space to expand in the future.

He says, “Konica Minolta is investing during a tough time for the market, the millions of dollars spent on the new showroom will put us in a better place once recession is over. It also gives us an enormous capability to demonstrate our full range of equipment to the market.”

Procter continues, “With the new facility we have tried to emulate what a commercial printer’s own premise would look like, we have intentionally excluded unnecessary features such as carpet and flashing lights in order to help printers view our equipment in a familiar environment.”
