Phil Trumble, managing director of Pozitive sign & graphic supplies, has demonstrated the newly launched swissQprint Nyala 5 flatbed at FESPA Global Print Expo in Berlin this week.
The swissQprint Nyala 5 flatbed will be on show for the Australian market at PacPrint25 later this month.
Officially launched globally this year, the Generation 5 series is based on the high-end Kudu, and presents the new Nyala 5 and Impala 5 printers.
“[The Nyala 5] is based on the Kudu platform. We already have five Kudu machines installed in Australia and the Nyala 5 is joining the Kudu platform, which is a completely revamped machine compared to the Nyala 4,” Trumble told Sprinter.
The Kudu, Nyala 5, and Impala 5 form a line-up that is 23 per cent faster than the previous generation, offering a top speed of 341 m²/h.
The Generation 5 flatbeds are based on a reworked machine concept, electronics and software included.
The flatbed printers also offer versatility with 10 configurable colour channels. In addition to light colours and white, there are spot colours such as neon or orange as well as effect varnish and primer to extend the range of applications.
