Printers line up for catalogue awards

The nation’s catalogue printers can now enter their best work for the annual ACA awards, with the aim of toasting their success in one of the strongest areas of print.

And catalogue awards aren’t just for the big commercial web printers, last year’s winners included smaller outfits such as Melbourne firms Mystique and Print Bound, who each printed one winning entry, as did Sydney firm Carbon8 and regional New South Wales operation Evolve Printing.

IPMG was though the big winner, it printed 18 of the 39 awards. PMP was responsible for eight and Franklin Web half a dozen of the winning jobs.

Kellie Northwood, executive director of the ACA says, “According to a recent Australia Post survey, catalogues are the number one preferred advertising material for consumers so we understand the importance to celebrate the hard work that goes behind creating them.

“The emotional connectors to paper and the tactility of catalogues assist retailers in communicating vital brand messages. Catalogues not only drive in-store traffic, but drive traffic online as well.

“The awards provide a fantastic opportunity for many different industries to be recognised for their innovative use of catalogues as an essential marketing tool.”

The presentation night is slated for the Palladium Room at Crown, Melbourne on August 29. Further information can be found at https://catalogue.asn.au
