According to the DEWR, the biggest rises were for marketing and advertising professionals, up 8.4 per cent, medical and science technical officers, up 7.8 per cent, and printing trades, up 4.5 per cent.
The biggest falls were for wood and food trades, both down 3.8 per cent, and the construction industry, down 3.7 per cent.
A separate measure of information and communications technology vacancies fell 2.5 per cent in December.
