SAP has certified the Printronix XML Forms Module 1.0 for integration with the Device Controller Interface of SAP(R) Auto-ID Infrastructure Release 2.1 and the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform in Printronix’s 5r Multi-Technology Thermal Printing Platform.
“Printronix’s RFID printing technologies integrate seamlessly with SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and SAP NetWeaver. Both companies are committed to enabling widespread RFID adoption, and Printronix is pleased to bring to our customers certified integration with SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and SAP NetWeaver,” says Brad Jarvis, director, product marketing,
Printronix.
“We’re giving retail and government suppliers a fast, inexpensive solution to help them comply with the next wave of RFID mandates. With this solution, our customers can leverage RFID technology quickly by connecting tagged objects with the business view of an ERP system,” adds Jarvis.
With this certified solution, Printronix customers can expect low-cost, rapid integration of RFID label printing into SAP solution-based environments. The pre-designed label templates, XML test files and label-design software yield the dual benefits of lower maintenance and increased reliability. This scalable solution grows with users’ information-processing needs, eliminating need for costly middleware.
XML, or Extensible Markup Language, allows business applications to exchange data seamlessly via a standard interface. Printronix XML Forms Printing provides users the ability to easily print and encode RFID smart labels as they adapt their business processes to changing compliance standards.
SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 2.1 enables RFID-based supply chain management (SCM) and supply chain execution processes across the enterprise. Printronix worked with SAP to enable smart label creation within SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 2.1 on the industry’s best selling RFID printers and encoders.
