Last time, we asked: ‘Do you think it makes sense for Heidelberg to take over selling Kodak’s sheetfed CTP range?’
The results were:
41%: No. It’s unlikely to create any major benefits for either vendor, or for printers.
25%: Yes. Having Heidelberg push the Kodak range could make prices in the wider CTP market more competitive.
20%: No. It is unclear how the Kodak range will sit alongside Heidelberg’s rival Suprasetter range.
8%: Yes. When press sales are down, manufacturers need to have stable, steady revenue streams.
6%: Yes. Heidelberg’s broad sheetfed customer base will see a benefit from getting more access to the Kodak range.
