Launched at LabelExpo Europe 2009, the Gallus ECS340 also has a positive impact on the CO2 footprint of the Gallus ECS 340 during construction and during manufacturing when combined with the latest energy efficient UV lamp drying system, according to Gallus. QLM Label Makers says the installation is also part of commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
The Gallus ECS 340 cuts waste in this machine class, with a web length of just over 11 metres for an 8-colour press, according to Gallus. In addition, QLM Label Makers will begin use of an Extrusion Unit to significantly reduce waste volume and to produce more environmentally friendly and sustainable by-products.
Simon Pugh, general manager of QLM Label Makers says, “The installation of the Gallus ECS340 adds to the diverse print capabilities offered by now providing high volume production runs more efficiently and effectively.”
QLM’s has a team of more than 60 staff throughout Australia and has manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Brisbane, and sales offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. QLM will officially launch the installation of press at an Open Day on June 3.
