The web and sheetfed offset printing company moved to a new facility in the industrial area of Huntingwood after enduring what it described as “ongoing problems” with a paper waste system that suffered “continuous breakdowns”.
Quality contracted Donaldson Australasia to design and engineer a paper waste collection system for its new site, with Quality claiming that the new system has allowed them to handle 14 tonnes of waste every 24 hours compared with 9.5 tonnes at their old site.
The new system (pictured) took four-and-a-half months to design and install, with the end product engineered to function 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Quality didn’t mince words in describing their previous system as a “rotten egg” and “a waste of money”, as well as outlining a string of problems including product “tangling up in the paper separator” and a malfunctioning dust collector.
