Rau waves goodbye to Australia

DS Chemport product manager Andreas Rau is leaving his position after nine years at the company and 17 in Australia.

He has resigned effective from August 31, leaving the company after three decades of experience in the graphic arts and printing industry.

Rau will be replaced by Paul Henderson, who has been in a technical role at DS chemport. He will take over the sales and customer support role initiated by Rau.

Peter Drozdowicz, chief executive of DS Chemport, says, “He has made a substantial contribution to the sales growth of the Trelleborg Offset Blanket Agency in both the Australian and New Zealand market.”

Rau is relocating to Germany with his wife and children to spend more time with their respective families.

“We are leaving for family reasons and decided that now is the right time. We want our kids to grow up surrounded by family,” Rau says.

Rau says he does not know whether he will continue working in the printing industry once settled in Germany.

“I am honestly not sure yet. I have an open mind about the future. My priority is to get my family settled in okay and then I will look for employment.”

DS Chemport, a subsidiary of Fujifilm is a manufacturing company providing goods and services to the printing and graphics arts industry. It was established in 1987 as Chemport then changing its name in 1994 to DS Chemport when it relocated to its Campbellfield services.
