Receiver claims ‘strong interest’ in Vega Press

Darren Lewis, director, KPMG told Australian Printer, “We have been working closely with Vega directors and employees, and at this stage it is business as usual. There has already been a strong interest in Vega and we are pleased because of that. The business will be advertised for sale. There is no deadline at this stage.”

Vega press went into receivership last week, with KPMG is aiming to keep the $18m-a-year business operating until a buyer is found.

Vega has around 70 staff operating under the leadership of managing director Peter Gude who declined to comment on the matter.

The company has been looking to ease its position for some time, it was in talks with Opus business McPherson’s last year, but these collapsed.
