Photo gallery: Record turnout for ASGA SA social bowls event

The Australian Sign and Graphics Association (ASGA) has recorded one of its most successful social bowls event to date, with 35 industry people gathering at the Adelaide Bowls Club last week.

The networking event is part of a series of bowls events hosted around the country following a successfully pilot by ASGA’s South Australian committee over the past couple of years.

ASGA SA members, non-members, suppliers, and media representatives were among the crowd who got ‘out on the green’ for the third annual social bowls event, sponsored by Orafol.

Honours were hotly contested, and the final result came down to a tight final matchup between the ‘Lagerfields’ – Derek from Signageworld, Iestyn from Spicers, Terry from Kwikstripe Sign Shop and Jarrod from Spandex – and the ‘Awesome Foursome’ comprising Dennis, Heather and Matt from Signarama Norwood and Julie from Sign Language SA.

In the end, it was team Awesome who came out on top to take home the top prize – bottles of SA Shiraz and Adelaide Bowling Club stubbie holders.

“It was wonderful to see such a large turnout for what was a really enjoyable evening and a great chance to catch up with industry colleagues and make new connections,” said Lisa Michalanney, SA chair for ASGA.

“It was not only the largest registration and attendance we’ve ever enjoyed here in SA, but we believe we are now leading the other States with the best turnout for any ASGA bowls event this year – a fantastic demonstration of the strength and enthusiasm of the SA industry.”

The next ASGA social bowls event will be in Melbourne on February 28.
