ReDigital eyes major mailing houses for installations of GMC’s VDP tools

ReDigital business development manager Andrew Wight told ProPrint the GMC suite had become the distributor’s “lead product”, after taking on the agency for Australia and New Zealand in September.

GMC’s variable-data printing software offers end-to-end software solutions for designing, composing, and producing personalised print and electronic customer communications. ReDigital is pitching the GMC suite primarily at the mailing house market.

“We’ve recently signed an agreement with a major Melbourne-based bureau just prior to Christmas, and we’re expecting to sign a few major deals in the first quarter of this year,” he said.

He would not reveal the names of the prospects but described them as some of the “top five mail houses in Australia”.

He added that ReDigital would be exhibiting at this year’s PrintEx show in Sydney.

ReDigital was founded last year by Wight, who was formerly business development manager at Australia Post subsidiary Printsoft along with fellow Printsoft colleagues Steve Aarons and Shane O’Dea.

Prior to starting at Printsoft in 2005, Wight also worked in business development and account management roles at Salmat.
