Registrations now open for NPA presentation dinner

Registrations are now open for the 39th National Print Awards presentation dinner on Thursday 30 June, with event host the Print & Visual Communications Association (PVCA) saying the event will be the highlight of the 2022 industry calendar.

Long regarded as the industry’s ‘night of nights’, this year’s presentation ceremony will be held at the Goldfields Theatre at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre – ideally located for the thousands of visitors expected to flock to Melbourne for PacPrint and its co-located expos at the MCEC that week.

PVCA president Peter Clark said the event was a highly anticipated opportunity not only to recognise and celebrate the achievement of excellence in the industry, but also to gather with friends and colleagues at one of the very first in-person events for well over two years.

“The National Print Awards was established nearly 40 years ago to recognise and encourage the achievement of excellence in print,” he said.

“Over the past four decades, it has not only achieved that objective but a Gold Medal in the Awards has become the most sought-after accolade in the industry and a mark of quality which is recognised not only here in Australia, but around the world.

“This year, entrants faced a host of unprecedented challenges, from the pandemic restrictions which continue to bite, to natural disasters including the floods in Queensland and New South Wales. Yet we still topped last year’s entry tally, with the quality achieved reportedly higher than ever – that really is a wonderful testament to our industry.”

The sit-down presentation dinner will feature Walkley Award-winning journalist Patrick Condren as Master of Ceremonies presiding over a night of entertainment and, the presentation of awards in the 32 print, finishing, design, corporate and personal recognition categories that make up the 39th National Print Awards.

Certificates for the state-based PICA awards will also be available for collection by the winners on the night.
