Schmitz, whose CV includes a stint as sales manager at CPI Graphics, will manage the Victorian operation, including dealer support.

Rod Fowler, managing director of Renz Australia, said: “We weren’t just looking for a salesman but someone with more senior experience.

“We have been looking for a manager in Melbourne for some time. We didn’t want to rush into it – we wanted the right person.”

He added: “We are delighted to have Marc join us. He brings many years of valuable industry experience to our team and he is well known in the Melbourne market.

“Our main objective is to help customers make profitable use of our equipment and to achieve that we need experienced people with a passion for the industry. Marc fits that bill very well.”

Fowler explained that Renz already has a “full offering in Melbourne”, including sales, service and support out of its base in Kensington.
