Revolution Print completes Konica Minolta collection

Ballarat-based Revolution Print has added to its portfolio of Konica Minolta technology with its PacPrint purchase of an AccurioLabel 230 label press and GM DC350 Nano Ultra Compact converting unit.

Leon Wilson, director at Revolution Print, says, “I guess we are a Konica house. We are going to be the only company in Australia that has every piece of industrial equipment that Konica Minolta supplies. We have a KM-1, the inkjet as well as the MGI embellishment machine. Now we are going to have industrial print labels as well.

“One of the reasons we have purchased this solution is the team at Konica Minolta. We know they will look after us with service and support. They have a proven track record.

“And why did we go down the path of producing our own labels. Well, we were finding that we were outsourcing more and more work and we want to keep as much in house as we can. Also, the fact we can embellish cut sheet labels means we can value-add. When someone says, ‘Can you do labels?’ We can say, ‘Hell yeah’.

“We are already doing enough to feed this machine and that’s without selling. Actually, we don’t sell; we educate. And once we educate our clients on the beauty of what we can now do, it will revolutionise things again what we can do for them.

“The thing is we are all about creating the future of print. That is our mission; what we all work towards in the business. We geek out about print and we geek out about technology.

“So not only having a reliable product but by partnering that with automation and with a fantastic online system, we use printIQ, and we have already built the online quoting platform. There is not many people, if you google labels on roll, not much comes up. It can be too hard to do a quote but we are going to make it easy.

“Exciting times!”
