Ricoh goes light with new Pro C751

Described as a light production machine with full colour printing for a lower price tag, the Pro C751 will print 75 A4 colour pages a minute.

Kathy Wilson, general manager at Ricoh’s print production systems group says, “The Pro C751 will offer the quality and productivity – especially with the inline finishing – that commercial printers, franchises and inplants want, but for a lower investment level.”

Ricoh presented a series of emerging opportunities for digital printers, which included durable media, magnetic media, digital packaging, digital labels, personalised calendars, photobooks, real estate collateral, personalised prospectuses, books, catalogues, creative visuals, point of sale and precision marketing applications.

Ricoh has developed the Pro C751 series to incorporate the technology from its flagship C901 colour production device within a light production device. It has inline finishing options, oil-free PxP polymerised toner, and what it describes as near-offset colour quality.

The Ricoh Pro C751 series offers productivity up to 75ppm on an array of different stock types with a thickness of up to 300gsm simplex and 256gsm duplex. At the front end, the configured EFI Fiery controller drives the operation.

The 751 has the same trained customer replaceable units as the C901, meaning downtime should be minimal, as users can replace key components themselves rather than waiting for a Ricoh technician to do it.
