Ricoh releases new 72ppm colour production units

According to Ricoh the Pro C720 and 720s have been specifically developed to fill market demand for affordable production grade colour devices. Ricoh says that after talking to various customer print rooms, it found that many were starting to increase capacity after the global financial crisis but were hesitant to make a big investment in equipment.

Dave Gully, product group manager of production for Ricoh Australia says, “Customers needed a machine that could fill their initial requirement and then grow with their business. The Ricoh Pro C720/C720s have true production credentials. With a speed of 72 pages per minute, regardless of stock weight, they also offer extensive inline finishing features including stapling, punching and front and back cover insertion.”

“By listening to our customers we are able to the provide solutions they’ve been asking for. We’re further expanding our production line up to provide the devices which the industry is demanding, with added functionality to match,” says Gully.

“For example, the Pro C720/720s and the Pro C900 series offer full bleed to three edges, so you can produce A4 saddlestitched books with full bleed, inline – therefore offering cost savings by eliminating the need for SRA3 stock.

“The Pro C720 and C720s are great for print rooms that need a high speed device with the durability to handle increased demand in the short term, yet in the long term these engines can provide the opportunity for growth with its high quality, reliability and fantastic range of finishing options,” he concluded.
