Ricoh to make foray into light production printer market at Ipex

The manufacturer is pitching the presses at commercial printers making their debut into the digital arena, as well as in-house print plants and print-on-demand businesses.

Both machines can print on coated and uncoated stock at speeds up to 72ppm and at a maximum resolution of 1,200dpi.

According to Ricoh, the machines can output an average monthly print volume of 40,000, which complements its higher volume C900 and C900S models, launched in Australia last year.

Ricoh’s latest models will be on show at the forthcoming Ipex 2010 show, showcasing under the ‘Just Ask’ banner.

In addition, the Pro C900 and C900S, the Ricoh Pro 1357 and 1357EX machines will also be demonstrated live throughout the event.

Graham Moore, director of Ricoh UK’s production printing business group, said, “Our intention at Ipex 2010 is to learn as much as we can about the requirements of each individual visitor to the stand, allowing us to personalise their visit and experience with relevant ideas about how to develop their businesses with Ricoh and InfoPrint Solutions’ products and services.”

Ipex 2010 is due to be held on 18-25 May, 2010, at the Birmingham NEC.
