Risk and cashflow management covered in workshops

Feedback from workshop participants to date has been overwhelmingly positive with many indicating that the workshop outcomes have exceeded their expectations, according to the Association.

Workshops have already been held in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane with further workshops scheduled for Adelaide June 17, Perth June 18 and Hobart June 23.

Commenting on the Sydney workshop held on Thursday 11 June at Fuji Xerox Australia’s Epicenter, Hagop Tchamkertenian, national manager for policy and government affairs at Printing Industries says he is pleased with the outcomes of the workshop.

Tchamkertenian says, “Having had a chat with workshop attendees both during the main break and the conclusion of the workshop reinforced the positive feedback we have so far been getting on the workshops as reflected by the workshop evaluation forms.”

The workshops are being presented by accounting and business consultant firm HLB Mann Judd who have a long association with the printing industry. The banking perspective associated with the current economic environment is being presented by BankWest.

Tchamkertenian adds that the workshop participants are being provided with helpful and practical guides to manage the current economic environment.

He says, “We have developed a series of business guides that deal with various issues faced by a modern printing business ranging from risk management to effective management of cashflow and making the most of emerging business opportunities.

“From a printing business perspective the workshops offer an opportunity to engage in certain sound business practices that increase overall business viability.”
