Rodney Frost supports industry through labour shortage

The Lamson Paragon Group’s Rodney Frost has reached out to the industry to help businesses with labour shortage through another of his companies, Integrated OS.

Frost is offering a free Smartscale strategy session consultation, where he will analyse a business’ existing team structure, strategy, and organisational goals.

He’ll also provide the specific offshoring strategy, staging, and sequencing the business needs to scale their business – helping them find the right people with the knowledge, skill, and will to integrate effectively with their existing team.

Integrated OS was formed in 2016 by Frost and Grace Monteiro to reach other partners in different industries. It has and is continuing to help more than 20 Australian businesses focus on their goals by facilitating recruitment and setting up their own dedicated offshore teams in the Philippines.

Frost attributed the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) findings which identified that there are already 480,100 job vacancies in Australia, a 111.1 per cent rise since February 2020.

He added that Prof Jeff Borland, a labour market economist at the University of Melbourne, said demand for labour was “very strong”, driving an increased vacancy rate “across all occupations and industries”.

With talent supply low, inflation continuing to grow and no immediate saviour on the way, Frost said he sees wages and other costs being under significant pressure for the coming 24 months at least.

“Even as optimism persists, most Australian business leaders cited feeling the effects of the current labour market as it continues to create obstacles for businesses across the country. As a result of the labour shortage, almost half of current employees are working more hours, and half of midsize businesses are seeing reduced sales/revenue,” he said.

“Jim Stanford, the director of the Centre for Future Work, said employers would have to invest in retention, compensation, and training.

“A major consideration is right here at Integrated OS. If your team can work from home, they can work from anywhere in The World. We help you find and setup your own dedicated team in The Philippines via our boutique model that takes away all of the risk.”
