Salmat takes delivery of Australia’s first JetStream 2200

The printer, one of two ordered by Salmat, is currently being assembled and will be switched on for test runs in a week’s time. Salmat is planning to print its first jobs on the JetStream before Christmas.

Salmat’s second Océ JetStream will be delivered to the company’s Sydney factory in January.

Nick Debenham, CEO of Salmat’s Business Process Outsourcing Division, and Mark Bongiorno, General Manager of BPO in Victoria, were on hand to welcome their latest printer, which is being assembled under the supervision of Stefan Feuerstein, service product manager, Océ Australia.

The Océ JetStream 2200, which weighs 18 tons when fully assembled, arrived in four separate containers. The complete line is 18 metres long by six metres wide.
