The focus on the Screen stand was on digital printing, both sheetfed and wide format. The 7000iph direct imaging TruePress 344 took price of place on the stand The Truepress 344 is a compact, automated four-colour DI press that employs the conventional offset process, with a traditional dampening system, offset inks and paper stock.
The press produces small-format, economical print runs with, says Screen, colour fidelity that compares to conventional offset equipment. Its substrate versatility and ability to accomplish longer runs efficiently have the Truepress 344 aimed at printing catalogues, books, sales collateral, postcards, art prints and business forms.
Screen’s TrueFlow workflow was shown driving the TruePress and a Konica Minolta digital printer, which Screen often bundles with a DI press. Shown for the first time in Australia was the TruePress JetUV2500 reel to reel and flatbed UV wide format printer, which printed all the graphics on the Screen stand.
Screen managing director Gary Siedl says Truepress is compatible with substrates and applications ranging from point-of-purchase materials to posters, banners and textiles. The Truepress Jet2500UV prints on diverse substrates up to 1.9″ thick and 98.4″ wide. It achieves output speeds up to 726.5 square feet per hour, making it tone of the fastest high-level digital printers.
