Screen to launch latest digital inkjet press at Ipex

Commenting on the press’ capabilities, Akira Hayakawa managing director of Screen Australia says, “On the JetSX a 24-page personalized and variable data A4 catalogue or magazine could be produced at the rate of 240 copies in an hour. Truepress JetSX is the world’s first B2 sheetfed fully digital duplexing printing press.”

Screen claims that market research since drupa emphasised the need for a duplex B2 digital solution. Commercial B2 Litho printers said it would enable them to handle short run work, targeted brochures, photobooks and greeting cards, while taking full advantage of existing paper stocks and finishing capabilities, according to the company.

All B2 Litho printers have B2 folders, guillotines, stitchers, binders and laminators – the output from Screen’s Truepress JetSX can be processed seamlessly in the existing post-press environment, the company adds.

Also commenting, Peter Scott, technical sales manager at Screen says, “Make ready-times become a thing of the past with the B2 Truepress JetSX. It is very easy to operate, using a touch-screen display and it fits seamlessly into our TrueFlow, Equiosnet or third party workflows.”

Scott continues, “Needless to say, the environment also benefits because there is no alcohol or water – apart from what is in the inks – used. Wastage is at a bare minimum and, being a sheetfed B2 press, stocks can be quickly changed – something that is a problem on web machines.”
