
Simon Leverton, Senior Manager of EnviroRisk Management in Geelong, Victoria personally facilitates all Printing Industries SGP training in Victoria and Tasmania and is also an accredited auditor, according to the Association.
The award was announced at the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand’s (EIANZ) Annual Conference Gala Dinner held on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Bill Healey, CEO of Printing Industries says Leverton’s selection for the award, from candidates across Australia and New Zealand, was a tribute to his commitment, knowledge and passion in delivering environmental compliance training and standards monitoring.
He says, “Simon’s success with printing companies undertaking Printing Industries Sustainable Green Print training and certification is a glowing example of the quality work he is doing guiding many of our members through to successful completion of their SGP certification.”
Healey continues, “It also demonstrates our own commitment to environmental sustainability by providing members with a sustainability pathway via our SGP multi level program and the best possible support to help them achieve their goals.”
Also commenting, Nigel Murphy, chair of the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme (CEnvP) Board, says, “Leverton is an outstanding environmental practitioner who has worked for government and the private sector.
“His work currently assists private sector and government clients meet regulatory compliance, strive for best practice and implement resource efficiency and monitoring initiatives.
“Practitioners like Simon are the backbone of our profession.”
